User testing for PnP baby !

This was one of the the user testing we carries out to observe the usability of the PnP website. We created a list of actions that are possible on the website and asked first time users to carry out these these actions and took down they're response. My sister found these actions rather easy as she works with IT on a daily business so this is how her responses to the interface and navigation measured up.

Buy dog food for the puppy.
  • Google.
  • "Pick n Pay".
  • Pick n Pay online.
  • groceries.
  • petshop.
  • dog and puppy.
Find out what time the pick n pay closest to us closes.
  • contact us.
  • home.
  • google.
  • pick n pay.co.za.
  • store search.
  • craighall park.
Find recipe for chicken salad.
  • health and nutrition.
  • 5-a-day recipes.
  • main course.
  • search site.
  • chicken salad.
Find out who the CEO is.
  • investor.
  • Pick n Pay CEO.
The items that are red are the ones that were not needed to reach the goal but where used due to the user bieng mislead.

Observations

The main flaw that I realize when conducting this test is that there are too many visual and verbal distraction that seem to have what the user is looking for don't actually have it. There are both tabs in the navigation bars as well as the huge pictoral buttons that have the same function which seems a bit redundant.
